Cantabile now supports setting custom text messages on the key range indicators shown on the on-screen keyboard.
Background
For an introduction on how key ranges and key range indicators are configured and used, see this blog post.
What's Changed
This build introduces a couple of changes.
Firstly, there's a new setting in the MIDI Route Settings dialog to explicitly set the text to be displayed on a key range indicator. If left blank the same text is displayed as before - namely the name of the object the route connects to.
Secondly, previously the text on key range indicators was only shown when the keyboard was in compact display mode. Now, there's a new right-click setting that separately controls the key range text display mode. This means you can display text titles in both compact and non-compact mode.
Backwards Compatibility
These changes cause one small backwards compatibility issue - namely the non-compact keyboard previously never showed key range text titles - but now it does and does so by default.
If you don't want the titles, just right click and turn them off.
Available Now
These changes are available now in build 4216.
