Topten Software takes the privacy of your information very seriously, in strict compliance with Australian and EU data protection laws. You will only be asked to provide information that is necessary for the upkeep of our products and services.
Under no circumstances will your personal data be sold or otherwise passed on to third parties.
Web Site Data
Topten Software automatically collects and stores information automatically transmitted by your web browser:
- Date and time of the request
- IP address of the requesting computer
- Browser type and version
- Operating System
- Referring URL (ie: sites linking to our site)
This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify a specific person. This data is stored in log files for diagnostic and analytical purposes only and is not processed in combination with data from other sources.
After analysis this data is deleted from our servers.

Our web site does not use cookies for anonymous site visitors.
Our web site does use cookies when logging into your account and is only used to maintain the account session.

Customer Purchase Data
All purchases are processed through reputable and secure third party payment providers (PayPal and Stripe).
Topten Software does not receive nor store credit card or other sensitive financial information. We do however store transaction records as provided by purchase providers. These transaction records may include your name, address, email address, the card type (but not the card number) and other information specific to the product purchased.
This information is stored indefinitely for taxation and financial record keeping purposes and to detect and prevent fraud.
Licensing Data
Upon activation of software provided by this site Topten Software stores the account activating the software, the IP address of the activating computer, an opaque non-reversible hash unique to the machine on which the license was activated and the date and time of the activation.
This information is stored indefinitely for legal and licensing purposes and to detect and prevent fraud.
Other Data
Customers who elect to receive free merchandise relating to the product (ie: stickers) are required to provide a postal address.
Permission to store this data can be withdrawn at any time.
Mailing List
To receive our newsletter you must provide a valid email address. Any other information requested is optional (ie. first name). All newsletter emails include an "unsubscribe" link in the footer which will immediately remove the email address to which the email was sent from the mailing list.

Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage.

All data managed by Topten Software including account information, purchase history, license data and mailing list data (and excluding data stored by third parties) is stored on servers hosted in a secure environment (Linode) in the United States.
